【摘要】:Thistestmethodisparticularlyapplicabletononrigidthermoplasticsheetingorfilmmadebythecalenderorextrusionprocess.Thetestgivesanindicationoflot-to-lotuniformityasregardstothedegreeofinternalstrainsintroducedduringprocessing.TheheatingmediuminthistestmethodisairandmaynotyieldthesameresultsasTestMethodD2732,whichusesaliquidmedium.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameters,orcombinationthereof,coveredintherelevantASTMmaterialspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.IftherearenorelevantASTMmaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.Table1ofClassificationSystemD4000liststheASTMmaterialstandardsthatcurrentlyexist.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofchangesinlineardimensionsofnonrigidthermoplasticsheetingorfilmthatresultfromexposureofthematerialtospecifiedconditionsofelevatedtemperatureandtime.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThistestmethodandISO11501addressthesamematter,butdifferintechnicalcontent(andresultscannotbedirectlycomparedbetweenthetwomethods).
