【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingrelativecomplexpermittivity(relativedielectricconstantandlossindex)andrelativemagneticpermeabilityofisotropic,reciprocal(nongyromagnetic)solidmaterials.Ifthematerialisnonmagnetic,thisproceduremaybeusedtomeasurepermittivityonly.Thismeasurementmethodisvalidoverafrequencyrangeofapproximately1MHzto50GHz.Theselimitsarenotexactanddependonthesizeofthespecimen,thesizeandtypeoftransmissionlineusedasaspecimenholder,andontheapplicablefrequencyrangeofthenetworkanalyzerusedtomakemeasurements.Thelowerfrequencyislimitedbythesmallestmeasurablephaseshiftthroughaspecimen,andtheupperfrequencylimitisdeterminedbytheexcitationofhigher-ordermodesthatinvalidatesthedominant-modetransmissionlinemodel.Anynumberofdiscretemeasurementfrequenciesmaybeselectedinthisfrequencyrange.Toachievemaximummeasurementaccuracy,useofdifferenttransmissionlinesizesandtypesmayberequired.Forexample,useofa7-mmdiametercoaxialgeometrycanprovideformeasurementsfrom1MHzto18GHz.However,airgapsthatexistbetweenthespecimenandthetransmissionline'sconductorsintroduceerrorsthatmaynecessitatetheuseofalargerdiametercoaxialtransmissionlineandaseriesofrectangularwaveguidesofdifferentsizetocoverthisfrequencyrange.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
