【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsandtestmethodsforgeotextilefabricsandassociatedcomponentsusedintemporarysiltfenceapplications.ThisisamaterialpurchasingspecificationbasedonAASHTOM288.1.2Thisspecificationisapplicabletotheuseofageotextileasaverticalpermeableinterceptordesignedtoremovesuspendedsoilfromoverland,nonconcentratedwaterflow.Thefunctionofatemporarysiltfenceistotrapandallowsettlementofsoilparticlesfromsedimentladenwater.Thepurposeistogreatlylimitthetransportoferodedsoilfromtheaconstructionsitebywaterrunoff.1.3Thetestsusedtocharacterizethesiltfenceareintendedtoensuregoodworkmanshipandqualityandarenotnecessarilyadequatefordesignpurposesinviewofthewidevarietyofpossiblesedimentsandperformanceobjectives.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesininch-poundunitsareprovidedforinformationonly.
