【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthefilterpluggingtendency(FPT)ofdistillatefueloilswheretheendusedemandsanexceptionaldegreeofcleanliness.Thistestmethodisapplicabletofuelswithintheviscosityrangeof1.50to6.00mm/s(cSt)at40?C.Note1ASTMSpecificationfuelsfallingwithinthescopeofthistestmethodareSpecificationD396GradeNumbers1and2,SpecificationD975Grades1-D,lowsulfur1-D,2-D,andlowsulfur2-D,SpecificationD2880Grades1-GTand2-GTandSpecificationD3699kerosine.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletofuelsthatarenotclearandbrightbecausewaterinterfereswiththemeasurementoffilterplugging.Relativetendencyoffuelstoplugfiltersmayvarydependingonfilterporosityandstructure,andmaynotalwayscorrelatewithresultsfromthistestmethod.describesastandardprocedureforpreparingatestfluidforuseincalibratingtheapparatususedinthistestmethod.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itisresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
