【摘要】:Thismarkingsystemistoprovideassistanceinidentificationofproductsformakingsubsequentdecisionsastohandling,recycling,ordisposal.ThesystemisbasedonstandardabbreviatedtermsrelatingtoplasticspublishedintheISO1043seriesofstandardsandinASTMD1600.AsystemforexpandedgenericmarkingisdescribedinnonmandatoryAppendixX1.1.1Thispracticecoversasystemforuniformmarkingofproductsthathavebeenfabricatedfrompolymericmaterials.Provisionfortheprocessorprocessestobeusedformarkingisoutsidethescopeofthispractice.Note18212;Precisedetailsofthemarking,forexample,theminimumsizeoftheitemtobemarked,thesizeofthelettering,andtheappropriatelocationofthemarking,maybesubjecttoagreementbetweenthemanufacturerandtheuser.1.2Theabbreviatedtermsusedaretoprovidegenericidentificationofthepolymer(s).1.3Thispracticeisespeciallypertinentforusewithdurableplasticcomponentsofproducts.Thispracticeisnotintendedtosupplant,replace,orinanywayinterferewiththerequirementsfoundinlegislationformarkingorlabelingofpackaging.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note28212;Inmanyrespects,thispracticeissimilartoISO11469.
